PROFESSOR EMERITUS AT UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT-STORRS
Xaé Alicia Reyes, Ph.D., is a Professor Emeritus of Education and Latino Studies at the University of Connecticut-Storrs. Dr. Reyes’ areas of expertise include critical ethnography; teacher preparation for linguistically and culturally diverse communities; adult ESL instruction; media representations; migration issues as they affect schooling, religious activism, civic engagement, and political participation. She is the author of “How the Language and Culture of Scholars Affects Their Choice of Subjects and Methods of Research: Investigating the Researcher’s Habit of Mind.”
